This awesome fountain is at the west end of the Wharf, close to Tower Bridge. ‘Girl On A Dolphin’ by David Wynne, is actually the sister to ‘Boy On A Dolphin,’ featured at the front of Dolphin Square (once the biggest block of flats in the UK).’
Wendy Taylor’s ‘Timepiece’ has pride of place close to the Docks entrance. Her previous studio was nearby and this sculpture was commissioned by J. Lyons and Co. who built the Tower Hotel. The components represent nails, washers and other items which would have been strewn over the ground in times gone by. The sculptor is said to have more work being looked at around the country than any other living contemporary.
